Overview
Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation (API) hired our video production team to create a brand story video for their Forward Slash Campaign, which highlights the company’s role in building capacity in the life sciences by providing translational expertise to companies and innovators. Our goal was to create a high-quality video that tells the story of API and emphasizes the importance of their work in helping innovators navigate the complex path from concept to commercialization.
We worked closely with API to plan and execute the project, which included scripting, filming, and editing the video. Our production team focused on showcasing API’s interdisciplinary team, the importance of their role in the industry, and their impact on the local economy. Our primary aim was to emphasize API’s expertise in the life sciences and their ability to support startups and innovators in the region.
We utilized an interview-style format to showcase the voice of API’s team members, emphasizing their role in building capacity in the life sciences, and their focus on creating a life science innovation and manufacturing hub in the Edmonton region. Our team also used cinematic b-roll captured at their labs inside the Katz Group Centre for Pharmacy and Health Research at the University of Alberta to bring the vision of API to life and showcase the company’s impact on the local economy.
Through our production process, we were able to create a powerful brand story video that reinforces the importance of API’s work and their role in the life sciences industry. The video also highlights the company’s expansion plans and the applied Life Science campus that will support startups and innovators in the region, as well as create jobs and accelerate innovation.
The final product is an engaging and informative video that showcases API’s commitment to building capacity in the life sciences and their vision for the future of life science innovation and manufacturing in the Edmonton region. By positioning API as a thought leader in the industry, we helped them achieve their goal of attracting investment and retaining and training talented people, while also making the region more prepared and resilient to emerging critical needs in the future.
